About
A small studio with a focused approach.
ARG Labs is led by Adonis Roman Garcia, based in New York City, NY. It's a deliberately small practice, which is exactly what makes the work good.
ARG is Adonis Roman Garcia
The initials on the door are the person you work with. I run ARG Labs alone by conviction, not by accident: fewer projects at a time, direct communication, and full accountability for every line of code that ships.
ARG Labs is a one-person technology studio. I help businesses design, build, and ship the software they depend on, from fast marketing websites to custom internal platforms and practical AI features. The common thread across everything is a focus on real outcomes: software that works, that people enjoy using, and that holds up over time.
Most of the businesses I work with are at an inflection point. They've outgrown a template site, a spreadsheet, or an off-the-shelf tool, and they need something built around the way they actually operate. Some know exactly what they want. Others just know the problem and need a partner to help shape the solution. Both are good places to start.
Because the studio is small, the work stays personal. You talk directly to the person building your project, decisions get made quickly, and feedback turns into progress without going through layers of process. I take on a limited number of projects at a time so each one gets genuine attention.
I care a lot about doing this honestly. That means clear scopes and quotes up front, straight answers when something is harder or simpler than expected, and code I'd be comfortable handing to any other developer.
Trust is the whole foundation of a good working relationship, and it's earned in the details.
How I work
Senior attention, start to finish
You work with the person who actually writes the code. Nothing gets lost in translation between a salesperson and a separate engineering team.
Scope and pricing in writing
Before any work begins, you get a clear, written scope and quote. No surprise invoices, no ambiguity about what is and isn't included.
Software that ages well
I favor clean, maintainable code and proven tools over whatever is trendy this week, so your software stays easy to run and extend.
Honest about fit
If a project isn't a good match for a custom build, I'll say so and point you toward a better option. The goal is the right outcome, not just another invoice.
The one-person question, answered
You should ask what happens if your only developer is unavailable. Here is the honest answer.
Every project is built on mainstream, widely used technology, not a private framework, so any competent developer can pick it up. You own the code and all accounts from day one; nothing is held hostage on my infrastructure. Each handoff includes documentation and a walkthrough. And for Site Care clients, response-time commitments are written into the agreement.
Small studio, no small print.
