Refund & Dispute Policy

This Refund & Dispute Policy explains how payments, refunds, cancellations, and disputes are handled for services provided by Adonis Roman Garcia, operating as ARG Labs ("ARG Labs," "I," "me," or "my"). Because ARG Labs provides custom, time-based professional services and no physical goods, the terms below reflect that reality. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
Quotes and invoicing
- Each project is scoped and quoted individually based on its requirements. There is no on-site checkout or payment.
- Once a quote is accepted, work is invoiced directly. Payment terms are agreed per engagement, and typically include a deposit to begin, with the remaining balance due at agreed milestones or on completion.
- A deposit reserves time on my schedule and authorizes work to begin.
Refunds
- Before work begins: if a project is cancelled before any work has started, your deposit is refundable in full.
- After work begins: deposits are non-refundable once work has started, because the work is custom and the time has been reserved specifically for your project.
- Completed work: work that has been completed and delivered is non-refundable.
- Any prepaid fees for work that has not yet started are refundable if the project is cancelled (see Cancellation below).
Cancellation
Either party may cancel a project at any time with written notice (email is sufficient). On cancellation:
- You are responsible for payment for all work completed up to the cancellation date, including work in progress.
- Any unused portion of prepaid fees for work that has not yet started is refunded to you.
- Upon settlement of amounts due, I will provide the work completed to date in a reasonable, usable form, subject to the intellectual property terms in the Terms of Service.
For ongoing or retainer-style arrangements, either party may end the arrangement with written notice, and you will be billed only for work performed through the end of the notice period as agreed.
Disputes
If you're unhappy with anything, please contact me first at adonisromangarcia@gmail.com. Most issues can be resolved quickly through a direct conversation, and I'll always work in good faith to make things right.
If a billing dispute cannot be resolved directly, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith before pursuing other remedies. Any dispute relating to services or payments is governed by the laws of the State of New York, consistent with the Terms of Service.
Chargebacks
Because issues can almost always be resolved directly, I ask that you reach out to me before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider. Contacting me first lets me address the problem promptly and fairly.
